Word of the Week…HUMOUR

Once, my colleagues in Canada were hit by an unprecedented cold snap which meant all ten of their horses had to spend an entire week inside an indoor arena instead of out in the field.

They found themselves shovelling manure constantly, but no matter how fast they worked the piles built up faster than they could clear them. At that point, they had a choice for how they moved forward. Did they get angry or despondent? No, they had a good laugh at the absurdity of the situation and kept going.

You see, work and life can’t be serious all the time. And sometimes when faced with tough situations, have to make a choice between falling into despair and laughing it off.

🤭 Think how you can use humour today in the workplace. Laughter creates connection through engagement.

I suggest laughing off and learning from a mistake instead of getting upset about it.

🤣 After all, “laughter is the best medicine”
